Questions
How does the AI upscaler work?
It uses Swin2SR, an open-source super-resolution model. Instead of just stretching pixels, it predicts the missing detail, so edges and textures stay sharper at 4× the size.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The AI runs inside your browser and your image never leaves your device.
Why does it take a while?
Upscaling is heavy work done by your own device, part by part. Newer computers are much faster. Small images (under 500 px) finish quickest.
What image sizes work best?
Small or low-resolution images: old photos, thumbnails, logos and screenshots. Large photos are reduced to 512 px first, because they already have enough detail.
Can I use the result commercially?
Yes. The image is yours, and the model is released under the Apache 2.0 licence.
