How it works

  1. Paste your script

Any length. A blank line between paragraphs splits it into separate cards.

  2. Generate paragraph by paragraph

Pick a language and voice per paragraph, add emotion tags, then generate one or all of them.

  3. Edit, regenerate, download

Change any paragraph's text and regenerate just that one. Download each clip or the whole thing combined.

Questions

Is this text to speech really free?

Yes – unlimited, with no signup and no watermark. The voice is generated by your own device, so there is no per-character cost.

Which languages are supported?

31 languages, including English, Hindi, Arabic, Russian, French, German, Japanese, Korean and more. Pick the language per paragraph.

Do my projects stay saved?

Yes. Your text and the audio you generate are saved in your browser on this device, not on our server. Close the tab and come back later, or make several projects – they are all still there, until you delete them yourself.

Why does the first paragraph take so long?

The first time you generate audio, your browser downloads the voice model, a larger one-time download than our other tools (several hundred MB) – worth doing on Wi-Fi. After that it's cached on your device and is not downloaded again, even after closing the tab or restarting your computer.

What do the emotion tags do?

Type a tag like <laugh>, <breath> or <sigh> into your text where you want that sound, then generate. The tag itself is not read aloud.

Can I edit a paragraph after generating it?

Yes. Edit the text and the paragraph is marked as changed; click Regenerate to make new audio for just that paragraph. Your other paragraphs are not affected.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your text and audio never leave your device.
